F2000 Championship Series …

Rémy Audette
Anxious to Battle at the Lime Rock Track

Blainville (Québec),
September 12, 2011.– Leader of the F2000 Championship Series four races
before the end of the season, Quebec driver Rémy Audette will compete this
weekend at the Lime Rock circuit in Connecticut.  At a track that he enjoys, where he still has
the F2000 lap record, the goal for the Dimensions Doors / Novatech Van Diemen driver
is to increase his lead at the top of the standings.

” I have
always done well at Lime Rock. Two years ago, I won the race and earned the lap
record for Formula 2000, which still stands today. It’s a small circuit that I
like and on which I also want to have fun.
That’s when I do well. ” indicates Rémy Audette, who adds : ” at the
last round at Mosport, during the first of two races, I was thinking too much
about the championship, had little fun, and it didn’t turn out as we had hoped.
The following day, we got back to normal, including thinking about the current
race and enjoying myself and with that, we won ! “

This
doubleheader at Lime Rock is the first in the series since the one at Mosport
in July.  The Audette Racing Team made
use of the nearly two-month break by taking stock of Rémy‘s Dimensions Doors /
Novatech Van Diemen openwheel : ” we changed the brakes and made a few
adjustments to improve the top speed. The car is ready and she’s eager to get
out of the garage … and so am I.  I used
the long break to rest a bit and to work out but really, everybody is ready and
eager for this upcoming race ! ” confides Rémy Audette.

Lime Rock
in Connecticut is less than six hours from Montreal by car, which makes it one
of the two series events closest to home for the Audette Racing team. The
competition will take place on Friday (practice sessions and qualifying) with
both races on Saturday. ” I like this kind of schedule that has us competing at
times that aren’t too distanced apart.
And seeing as I know the track well, I don’t have any worries about
racing both rounds on the same day ” declares Audette, who could clinch the
title this weekend if he wins both races and if his closest championship rival
abandons one of them. ” Frankly, I won’t be thinking of that, I will just race
my own race without worrying too much about how many points the others are
scoring ” concludes Rémy Audette.

North
American Formula 2000 is the Audette Racing Team’s primary goal for this year,
with Rémy Audette behind the wheel.
Mathieu Audette also contested select rounds of the Canadian Touring Car
Championship during the summer with his Acura RSX Type-S, earning one victory
and three podiums.

The
Audette Racing Team benefits form the support of Dimensions Doors, Novatech,
Acura Plus Blainville, Les Extrusions du Nord, Verre Select, Jeld Wen, OPM,
Amusements Spectaculaire, Les Moulures PFJV, Gulf, Blueprint Racing, Mec-Inov
and Omnitech.
