Two podiums at the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve…

Rémy Audette Impresses in
his Touring Car Debut

Montréal (Québec),
June 10, 2012.– Quebec driver Rémy Audette earned one pole position and two
podiums in his career debut in the Canadian Touring Car Championship.  The two races, part of the Formula 1 Grand
Prix du Canada itinerary, allowed for the Audette Racing Team to demonstrate
its talent by remaining among the leaders during each appearance on the track.

Driving the Audette Racing’s Dimensions Doors/Novatech Acura RSX, Rémy
Audette had an impressive start on the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve, climbing to
the top of the ranks during the practices and qualifying before eventually
finishing both races in second place. ” I right away felt at ease and I have to
say that I love racing here on the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve, where I’ve
already been victorious in Formula 1600 (2007). I am happy with my performance
this weekend and I was able to get some experience in Touring Car ” mentions
Rémy. ” The goal during the practice was to familiarize myself with the car, so
I was a pleasantly surprised that I set the fastest time. During the
qualifying, everything also went very well ” explains the Quebec driver, who
achieved pole position for his start in the series.

Starting first on Saturday, Rémy conceded top spot to Marc-Antoine
Camirand before securing second place. ” Marc-Antoine had way too much power,
was impossible to beat, and I needed to conserve my brakes in the last
laps.  A podium finish in my first outing
is nevertheless not so bad ! ” explains a smiling Rémy.  Sunday, the Audette Racing driver started
second on the grid and crossed the finish line in the same spot. ” I gave it my
all, the car was perfect, and big thanks to the Audette Racing Team for
preparing such a competitive and reliable car ” confides Rémy.

The next round of the Canadian Touring Car Championship will take place
at Mirabel’s ICAR Circuit in two weeks.
Once again, Rémy Audette will remain in the driver’s seat of the
Dimensions Doors/Novatech Acura RSX. ” I am confident going into the
double-header at ICAR.  Our Acura is
smaller and handles more easily than Camirand’s BMW, which should be to my advantage
” concludes the reigning American F2000 series champion.

The
Audette Racing Team is contesting the entire Canadian Touring Car Championship
with Mathieu and Rémy Audette as alternating drivers.  The team benefits form the support of
Dimensions Doors, Novatech, Les Extrusions du Nord, Verre Select, Jeld Wen,
OPM, Amusements Spectaculaire, Les Moulures PFJV, Evotech, Milette Portes, Gulf,
Mec-Inov and Omnitech.
