Audette Racing Team’s 2013 Program…

A Brand New Touring Car for Rémy Audette !

Boisbriand (Québec), April 24, 2013.– The Audette Racing Team will contest the entire Canadian Touring Car Championship (CTCC) season with Rémy Audette at the wheel of a brand new Dimensions Doors/Novatech Honda. The 2011 American F2000 champion and winner of a CTCC round in his series rookie season last year, Rémy is eyeing victory with this new vehicle.  His older brother Mathieu will also contest a partial program this season.

After earning several victories in various open-wheel series in recent years (including claiming the American F2000 title in 2011), Rémy Audette debuted in the CTCC last year, making his mark at the Mosport circuit in July. Despite an excellent start, the Audette Racing Team made the decision to terminate their season in August so they could look to the future and fully concentrate on the 2013 season by building a brand new Super Touring class Honda Civic Si. It is with this car that Rémy Audette will contest the season, which is made up of seven double-header programs (two races per weekend), during some of the most prestigious motorsports events in Quebec and Ontario.

” It’s a new challenge, with a new car that our team built over the winter ” explains Rémy Audette, ” surely we’ll make small adjustments along the way but I’m confident that we will be in a position to battle at the head of the pack right from the very first races ” he adds. This Dimensions Doors/Novatech Honda Civic Si will be sporting the #21, Rémy’s lucky number.

Mathieu Audette will contest three double-header events in the Dimensions Doors/Novatech Acura RSX, with which he won the first two rounds of the 2012 CTCC calendar. ” It’s our old car but she’s still very competitive. Last year, we found an intermittent electrical problem that cost us a few podiums. This problem has been resolved and the car is now ready for the 2013 season ” confides Mathieu, who will be on the track as part of the Grand Prix du Canada at the circuit Gilles-Villeneuve on June 8th and 9th, as well as the Circuit Mont-Tremblant at the end of July and the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières on August 8th and 9th. His participation in the Grand Prix ICAR de Mirabel on July 6th and 7th has yet to be confirmed.

The Audette Racing Team is benefiting from the support of Dimensions Doors, Novatech, Les Extrusions du Nord, Verre Select, Jeld Wen, OPM, Amusements Spectaculaire, Les Moulures PFJV, Gulf, Mec-Inov, Soniplastics and Omnitech.
